Head of Pastoral Care



Job title: Head of Pastoral Care (HPC)

Reports to: Centre Director (CD)

Location: 15 residential and 2 non-residential centres across the UK

Contract and remuneration:

  1. 4 weeks with a possible extension
  2. 48 hours a week, including four night shifts from 10pm to 1am a week
  3. Full board and accommodation provided free of charge for all residential staff

Job overview:

The HPC’s key responsibility is the overall welfare of the students ensuring they are safe, secure, happy and respect other students, staff and the facilities.  The HPC must ensure that all staff are allocated bedrooms spread around the boarding houses to ensure the effective supervision of all students, with particular attention to be given to individual students.  The HPC must supervise other staff in night duties from 10.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. for four nights a week. The role is a Senior Management position therefore the HPC is expected to fulfil a demanding workload.

To have a flexible approach to the working day

Enthusiasm and ability to motivate a team of welfare staff and students
