Whitgift School is located in South Croydon, very close to central London and is situated in a beautiful 45 acre parkland site. The school was founded by John Whitgift, the last Archbishop of Canterbury to Queen Elizabeth I, and opened in 1600 making it Croydon’s oldest school. The fantastic facilities in the school include an indoor swimming pool, playing fields, modern indoor sports complex and surrounding wildlife including peacocks and flamingos!
It is the perfect location for students wishing to attend a host family programme within very easy access to London. The excellent transport links from Croydon make it just a short train journey to central London attractions. We also offer our ‘Super London Discovery Programme’, an exciting cultural programme giving students the chance to visit all of the key London sites during their stay.
